Diablo Analytical has released Version 4.0.23.0 of the EZReporter Software.
Note: If you are currently running EZReporter Version 4.0.19.1 or 4.0.19.2 and are using one of the GPA 2186/2286 allocation or bridging calculation and reporting methods, it is recommended that you upgrade to Version 4.0.19.3 or later, which addresses issues with rounding and normalization under certain circumstances and makes these calculations consistent in their approach. Note that there may be small differences in reported result values compared to previous versions due to these changes.
Important: If you enable extended fraction reporting and select any of the new GPA 2186-22 or GPA 2286-24 calculation methods, the resulting configuration file will not be fully backwards compatible with older versions of EZReporter (older than 4.0.19.0). When the older version of EZReporter loads a configuration file with one of these new calculation methods selected, it will convert GPA 2186-22/2286-24 Allocation methods to Calibrated Raw Allocation (Allocation) and GPA 2186-22/2286-24 Bridging methods to Calibrated Raw Combined/Bridging with bridging enabled. These calculations will give very similar results for samples with the FID calibrated, but not exactly the same results. The older versions of EZReporter do not support the Universal Relative Response Factor method, so they are unable to process results with the FID uncalibrated. If you want to share these configuration files with other computers running EZReporter it is highly recommended that you make sure the other computers are running version 4.0.19.3 or later.

.NET Framework 4.8 Runtime is Required
The Microsoft .NET 4.8 Framework runtime must be installed. If the computer has an Internet connection, then the installer will automatically download the runtime if it is needed. If the computer is not connected to the Internet, then you will need to download the runtime file from our web site and copy it to the same folder as the installer before starting the installation. The runtime file is 526 MB in size.
Alternatively, download the .NET 4.8 Framework runtime installer from Microsoft and install the runtime prior to installing the software.

Note: if you are running a relatively recent version of Windows 10 (Windows 10 May 2019 Update and later) or any version of Windows 11, then your system already has the runtime installed. In addition, another program may have already installed the runtime. So you only need to download the runtime if it isn’t already installed on your computer.
Installing this Release
If you are running version 4.0.4.1 or later, you can download and install the correct version of the software using the “Check for Updates” option of the “Help” menu.
Otherwise, simply download and run the installation program from the download page.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you download the installer that includes support for the chromatography data system you are using.
NOTE: The “web” version of the installer can be used to upgrade an existing installation even if the computer doesn’t have Internet access.
Your current version of EZReporter will be uninstalled and the new version installed automatically. Your license status will be preserved.
Software Support/Maintenance Subscription
This is a free upgrade if your software support subscription has not expired. You can view the status of software support in the License Status window (click “Help > License Status”). If software support has expired then you will need to renew your support subscription before upgrading to this version. Contact Diablo Analytical for information on renewing software support.

The price to upgrade to EZReporter 4.0 from earlier versions of EZReporter and BTU Calculator will depend on 1) the number of licenses, 2) the edition you are upgrading from and upgrading to, and 3) the number of instruments you want to license.
