Updated 1/19/2016
The upgrade guides for both EZReporter 3.0 and EZReporter 4.0 have been updated to include additional instructions on how to change the pressure base and component physical constants used to calculate GPM after they have been reset to the standard values during the upgrade procedure.
Updated 12/7/2016
The GPA Midstream Association has released a new version of the GPA 2145 standard containing component physical properties used in the EZReporter NGA and NGL Edition calculations. GPA 2145-16 will take effect in January 2017 and incorporates additional components from both GPA TP-17 and the GPSA Engineering Data Book – for a total of 203 components.
We have released new versions of EZReporter 3.0 and 4.0 that include the GPA 2145-16 physical property data source that can be used to update the physical properties in your existing Natural Gas Analysis (NGA) or Natural Gas Liquids Extended Fraction (NGL) configuration files. EZReporter 4.0 also includes new NGA and NGL default configuration templates using the GPA 2145-16 data that can be used to create new configuration files.

EZReporter 4.0
Please download and refer to the GPA 2145-16 Upgrade Guide for detailed instructions on how to update your existing configuration files.
You must download and install EZReporter version 4.0.7.4 or later. If you are running of EZReporter 4.0 version 4.0.3.3 or later, you have a “Check for Updates” option under the “Help” menu. You can use it to check for updates to the version of EZReporter you have installed, and then download and install any update that is available for your version. You can also download the installation program from our web site at the link below.
Important: Make sure you download the version of the installer for your chromatography data system. Contact Diablo Analytical if you have any questions about this.

Note: You can use the smaller “Web” version of the installer to upgrade an existing installation even if you don’t have an Internet connection.
This new version of EZReporter 4.0 includes a number of enhancements to help you update your configuration files with the new GPA 2145-16 data, including:
- Alias names can be defined for standard components in each data source so that components with different names can be recognized in the configuration component table. This is particularly useful because several of the standard component names in GPA 2145-16 were changed from their previous names in GPA 2145-09, TP-17, and the GPSA Engineering Data Book.
- You can search for a component name or alias name in the current data source by either right clicking and selecting “Find Component…” from context menu, or by clicking “Ctrl+F” on the keyboard.
- A report file can now be displayed after transferring physical properties from the standard data source to your configuration so you can confirm which components were updated and which were not.
- You can validate the component physical properties/constants in the current configuration file against the standard values in the data source. A report file is displayed showing the components that pass the validation (all constants match), the components that fail the validation (one or more constants don’t match), and components that couldn’t be found in the data source. A detailed table of the comparison is also included in the report.
- New default configuration template files using the GPA 2145-16 physical properties have been added to the default templates folder.
EZReporter 3.0 and Earlier
If you are still using EZReporter 3.0 or earlier or the BTU Calculator software, we highly recommend that you upgrade to EZReporter 4.0 to access all of the new tools mentioned above (in addition to all of the other enhancements introduced in EZReporter 4.0). EZReporter 3.0 was replaced by EZReporter 4.0 in 2015, and no new software development or enhancements will be made to any of these older versions. Please contact Diablo Analytical for information on upgrade pricing.
However, as a courtesy to customers who aren’t able to upgrade to EZReporter 4.0 at this time, we have released a new version of EZReporter 3.0 that includes the GPA 2145-16 data source. Because of the standard component name changes introduced in GPA 2145-16, the update procedure will have to be done very carefully to ensure that the standard component properties are transferred to the correct components in your configuration. It is your responsibility to ensure the properties are transferred correctly.
Please download and refer to the EZReporter 3.0 NGA Property Update Guide for detailed instructions on how to update your existing configuration files.
You must download and install EZReporter version 3.0.4.4 to have access to the GPA 2145-16 physical property data source:
Important: Make sure you download the version of the installer for your chromatography data system. Contact Diablo Analytical if you have any questions about this.
