The MS Sensor Application Builder software is tool to help users develop direct sampling mass spectrometry applications where spectral interference from all compounds in the sample must be considered (like applications for the Diablo 5000A Real-Time Gas Analyzer). The Application Builder software uses the NIST Mass Spectral Library of 267,376 chemical compounds and the user’s estimate of compound concentration to generate a combined sample spectrum and a table of sample m/z values with estimates of potential interference.
Overview
The Application Builder software allows you to search the NIST Mass Spectral Library for the standard spectra of compounds present in your sample, and enter an estimated concentration for each.
The peaks in each compound's spectrum are corrected for the estimated concentration and displayed in the "Combined Peaks" table, which displays all of the m/z values present in the spectra of all of the compounds in your application. You can use this table to evaluate where there may be significant spectral interferences in your application.
Software Requirements
- The MS Sensor Application Builder software is compatible with Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 10, and Windows 11.
- The .NET Framework 4.7.2 must be installed before trying to run Application Builder.
- This software requires the NIST Mass Spectral Library to be licensed and installed on the computer. You can purchase a special, discounted license of the NIST library at the time you purchase the Application Builder license.

Software Licensing
This software is distributed as a fully functional 30-day evaluation application. The evaluation version has all of the features of the registered version, but you will be reminded that you are running the evaluation version with a “nag” screen each time you start the application. The evaluation version also includes a small "demo" library that can be used for the evaluation if you don't have the full NIST library installed. At the end of the 30-day evaluation period the application will no longer function unless you purchase a license or request an evaluation extension from Diablo Analytical. After purchasing a license, you will be provided with serial code that activates the software over the Internet. See the Software License Activation Guide for more information.
Purchasing
A single computer license is $2995 plus any applicable sales tax and shipping and handling. This price includes the NIST Mass Spectral Library.
Contact us directly to purchase the software with a purchase order or to get a quote for multi-computer licensing prices. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Purchase Orders from approved companies.
