Analytical Instruments and Equipment
Diablo Analytical, Inc. specializes in gas-phase analytical techniques. These techniques include gas chromatography (GC), mass spectrometry (MS), infrared detection (IRD), pyrolysis GC-MS, direct MS and gas analysis.
Gas Chromatography (GC)
Diablo Analytical, Inc. utilizes the Agilent 7890 GC system. Sample inlet techniques include split injection, splitless, programmed temperature vaporization, on-column, and valve injection. A large selection of GC columns is available for use. Detection options include MS, IRD, FID, TCD.
Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS)
Diablo Analytical, Inc. utilizes the Agilent 5975C GC-MSD system. The GC can be configured for each application and the mass spectrometer is capable of scan or SIM electron impact techniques.
Infrared Detection (IRD)
Diablo Analytical utilizes the ASAP Analytical IRD II infrared detector for gas chromatography.
Pyrolysis GC-MS and GC-IRD
Diablo Analytical utilizes the Frontier Laboratories 3030D pyrolysis system for polymer, coating and solids analysis by GC-MS and GC-IRD. We use the Frontier F-Search program with various polymer and additive libraries to aid in polymer and additive identification.
Some gas analysis can be performed without GC separations. Direct MS can look at samples under a range of pressures or vacuum. The instrumentation is highly customized for this use. Gas analysis and purifier testing are two examples of applications for this technique.
